Jail Ministry
The main function of our Jail ministry is to provide a Bible based study to the inmates at jail east, which is part of the Shelby county correctional system. The women at the Jail receive an hour long Bible study that allows them time out of their cells and contact with people from the outside who show them the love and respect of Christ. The women receive Bibles of their own when available. Communion is also offered once a month. On the average, there are 15 to 20 women in each weekly study. At this time only two members of our ministry go into the jail. It is our prayer to add members very soon.
