Homeless Ministry

Our homeless ministry’s main functions are to bring relief to those suffering the pain and shame of living on the streets. We accomplish this by first and foremost providing the with prayer and fellowship.
We then provide them with the necessary items that will allow them to find a measure of comfort while living on the streets. We also provide names of missions, shelters and other organizations that can provide them with the means to begin the transition from the street to a life off the streets. When possible, we provide a night in a shelter for those with special needs. We try to provide each of the homeless that we come in contact with during our homeless “trips”with items such as water, ponchos, food items, personal care items, socks, gloves, clean underwear, coats, t-shirts, soap, and a bible and prayer time for personal prayer.
It is our goal to make their lives more comfortable, raise their spirits and give them information on how to get off of the streets.
We plan to schedule a homeless trip to downtown Memphis twice a month during the Winter months and once a month during the Summer months. Each team consist of up to ten adults and often several young children.
